Editing the Reminder Message

Note: These instructions are a quick guide to editing the default reminder messages that come with any new DiaryBook account. Existing accounts and multi-user accounts may have more complex settings with message names that differ to the ones used below.


SMS Text Reminder

The SMS Text Reminder is the message that is sent to the client's mobile phone. To edit the content of this message the user should do the following:


  1. Under the User Menu, go to DIaryBook Settings and select Reminder Settings
  2. Select the Templates sub-tab under the Appointment Reminder Settings tab
  3. Highlight the record called SMS Appointment Reminder and click the Pencil icon () on the tool-bar (alternatively double-click the record)
  4. Edit the message
  5. To save the message click the Save button


Note: The reminder messages make use of merge fields to insert appointment specific information in to the message. More information on Merge Fields.


Tip: To open sample messages go the the MERGE FIELDS button and select one of the OPEN SAMPLE options. This will overwrite any message already in the space provided.


Email Reminder

The Email Reminder is the message that is sent to the client's email address. To edit the content of this message the user should do the following:


  1. Under the User Menu, go to DIaryBook Settings and select Reminder Settings
  2. Select the Templates sub-tab under the Appointment Reminder Settings tab
  3. Highlight the record called Email Appointment Reminder and click the Pencil icon () on the tool-bar (alternatively double-click the record)
  4. Edit the message
  5. To save the message click the Save button
